Welcome to Allied School Karak Campus. We thank you for visiting us in person or through website. Let me introduce you to Distt Karak. Karak is a district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, situated to the South of Kohat District and on the North side of Bannu District on main Indus Highway between Peshawar and Karachi, 123 km from the provincial capital Peshawar.
Until 1940, this whole area was ruled by the Nawab of Teri. Between 1940 and 1982 it was a part of Kohat District. After July 1, 1982, it has been an independent district.The district is predominantly populated by Khattak tribe, one of the famous tribes of Pashtuns. Karak has one of the largest uranium mines in Pakistan under supervision of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission. Gas has been recently discovered in Shakardara, Gurguri, Makori, and Noshpa areas. Agriculture is the main source of living of people. The population of district Karak is approximately 457000 and its literacy rate is 47.86 % according to the census report 1998.
